Internet Marketing – Making a Successful Start

Article by Jamel Walton

You’ve probably seen the hype; ” Make thousands a day with 30 clicks of your mouse!”, “Guru-Crushing Software!”, “Make Money on Autopilot!” and on and on. Here’s where the old adage “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is” comes in. Those web shots they show you as “proof” of the amazing income they’re making with these internet programs are not necessarily fake, but in many cases, that income is not being made by using their program, but by selling it to people like you. You can waste hundreds of dollars purchasing these products only to find that they either offer nothing new or won’t download to your computer. Does this mean you’re wasting your time trying to find a legitimate internet marketing program? Not at all.The cold hard truth is, there is no get rich quick scheme. You will not make money with a few mouse clicks.Being successful with internet marketing requires actual work. There are plenty of training programs available for the newbie marketer and, of course, you can find them on the web, but exercise caution before signing up. Some can cost hundreds, even thousands of dollars and they are by no means equal in terms of their value. Some will sign you up for a relatively small amount, but when you go to get started, you discover that you need their “upgrade” to really get anywhere. That’s going to cost you. Others promise great things, but fail to deliver. Their program may be inadequate and not provide the key training necessary, or it may be so complicated you’ll give up in frustration. When investigating a potential internet marketing program, there are certain clues to look for. When you see them, Google both the program and the author. If what you find looks the least suspicious, dont buy in.1) Does the seller try to rush the sale with pressure tactics like, “Limited time only”, “Buy Now!’ or big flashing “Add to Cart” signs? This is a typical ploy designed entice the buyer.2) Did the offer just show up uninvited to your inbox? You’re on somebody’s list for a quick sale.3) If you are contacted by phone, is the person on the selling end aggressively pushing you to sign up? He/she is not making money using the program, they’re making their money selling it. These people know their tactics well and it’s easy to fall for the hype. What you really need is a good, legitimate, comprehensive training program. It shouldn’t cost the earth and it should be detailed enough to show you the ins and outs of internet marketing without being too high-tech and confusing. A really good program will put you on the right track to success. But how to find one? Try reading some of the reviews available online. Do as much research as possible before you opt in. Many sites have help centres you can call or contact by e-mail for more info. Don’t be misguided by professional looking sites. They can turn out to be scams as well. If in doubt, Google the information first. You can make a decent living online, from home.To begin looking at reviews of some legitimate online marketing sites, check my pages @ www.onlinehomeincomereview.com
